The final step in the Tokyo Disney Resort takeover appears to be resuming vacation package bookings, which bundle park tickets with a stay at a Disney hotel, among other perks. While these packages do not include some of the more useful perks, such as additional FastPass, special seating for shows, or Happy 15 Entry, there is one special perk: unique photo opportunities with specially costumed Disney characters!
There are four types of packages, each varying in price depending on the choice of room and hotel. Each plan includes two days in the parks and one night at your hotel, with a special reservation for a meal, a bucket of popcorn for each guest, a merchandise voucher, and a free photo.
The first package offers the possibility of getting pictures of Mickey on his Big Band Beat drums. This is surprisingly rare, as photography is strictly prohibited in the Broadway Music Theater most of the time. This plan is the most expensive of the four, ranging from 60,000 ($ 566.28) to 207,600 ($ 1,959.33) depending on the room level you choose. This plan is only available for upper level rooms in each resort, unlike the other three plans. On this plan, guests spend their first day at Tokyo Disneyland and can choose one of their table service restaurants for dinner, followed by hotel breakfast and a day at Tokyo DisneySea. Eligible dates are September 23 through October 15, except October 2.
The second shot features a distant greeting from Mickey and Minnie in their The Diamond Horseshoe outfit and is available for each room type at all three luxury hotels in the resort. The price ranges from 49,800 ($ 470.01) to 139,300 ($ 1,314.71) depending on your choice of room and day and starts at Tokyo DisneySea, where guests can choose a special dinner reservation at one of the restaurants with table service from the park. Then, the guests visit Tokyo Disneyland on the second day. Eligible dates are September 24 to October 15.
The third plan, also available for all hotel types, features a distant welcome with Mickey and Minnie in their outfits from the Polynesian Terrace restaurant in Tokyo Disneyland. The price ranges from 49,800 ($ 470.01) to 139,300 ($ 1,314.71) depending on your choice of room and day and starts at Tokyo Disneyland. Then, guests visit Tokyo DisneySea on the second day, where they can choose from its table service restaurants for a special lunch reservation. Eligible dates are September 25 to October 15, except October 2.
And the last option involves meeting some of the Disney villains at Tokyo DisneySea’s Broadway Music Theater. The price ranges from 49,400 ($ 466.24) to 135,500 ($ 1,278.85) depending on your choice of room and day and starts at Tokyo DisneySea. Then, guests visit Tokyo Disneyland on the second day, where they can choose from its table service restaurants for a special lunch reservation. Eligible dates are October 1 to October 15.
While these plans do not include the usual special items such as guaranteed FastPass, show seats, or Disney Resort Line passes, it is still encouraging to see vacation package bookings pick up in a further step towards normalcy. at Tokyo Disney Resort.
