This Ontario restaurant looks like a 70s resort and is a short walk from White Sand Shores

You can “cheer” summer days at the beach at this dreamy Ontario restaurant just steps from white sand beaches. Heydays is a great restaurant in Sauble Beach, and it will take you to a retro beach resort.

The restaurant is located at the June Motel, but you don’t have to be a guest to eat there. It has a colorful interior and a large outdoor patio with tropical ambiances.

The venue is actually inspired by the food shows of the 70s and was once a Sauble Beach hotspot during that time. It has now been transformed into a modern beach getaway that still has that old world character. The bright orange colors were inspired by sunsets and add to the tropical feel.

You can sample a variety of dishes and even indulge in brunch. Some popular menu items include the hot buttered lobster roll, charred broccoli caesar, and oysters. The new vegan option, the “TLT” mushroom (tempeh, lettuce, tomato), is also worth trying.

You can refresh yourself with a glass or a rosé or a frosé while imagining yourself in the resort. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll want to order the lime custard.

During the warmer months you can listen to live music three times a week on the terrace. You can also order food from Heydays on the pool deck.

The venue is just steps from the sandy shores of Sauble Beach, nicknamed the “Daytona of the North”. There are tons of fun activities to do in the area during the summer.
