Opening of a new temporary route between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

The building of the new DVC villas at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort moved the walkway connecting the resort to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The landscaped route takes visitors on a temporary route that crosses two roads.

Here’s a preview of the temporary route, courtesy of @bioreconstruct.

The new course takes guests through Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course, which is currently closed as Disney redesigns holes 14 through 17.

As mentioned above, the footbridge now has two level crossings.

The walkway, which opened in 2020, connects the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and the Transportation & Ticket Center (TTC). The temporary itinerary will disrupt our travel time estimates some, but we don’t think it will change things too drastically.
