Guests can book holiday sleigh rides at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground NOW!

Halloween is seven days away, so it’s time to start booking your Disney vacation experiences. At Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, they host sleigh rides during the holidays, and guests can start booking this experience now. This horse-drawn carriage tour is 25 minutes long and begins at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch Barn near the Settlement Bus Depot. The sleds can accommodate up to four adults or two adults and three young children. These sleigh rides will be available from December 1 to December 23; hope the weather will be perfect during this time. Adverse weather conditions could result in the cancellation of the sleigh ride.

Here’s how Disney describes holiday sleigh rides.

Enjoy the holiday magic with a comfortable horse-drawn carriage or sleigh ride through the festive campground and the beauty of the woods.

Each sleigh ride costs $75, but the price may vary depending on the date. It is strongly recommended to book in advance. To make a reservation, guests can go directly to the Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app up to 60 days in advance. Same-day bookings and walk-ins can be made on a limited basis and subject to availability.

Something very important to note is the transportation system at the campgrounds. Disney recommends giving you an hour for transportation.

Allow an hour of travel time, as guests will need to park at the main Fort Wilderness entrance and take a bus to the Settlement Bus Depot.

Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is beautiful while on vacation, and it can be a special addition to your vacation. I think it would go wonderfully with a dinner at Trail’s End or Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue.

Have you ever taken a vacation sleigh ride in Fort Wilderness before? If so, what was your experience? Let us know in the comments!

Hello, my name is Erica and I write about all things Disney. Before working for DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such a huge love for theme parks that I studied them in college.
