Discover Club Med’s newest European resort, Magna Marbella

Club Med has broadened its European profile with its brand new resort in Marbella, Spain. Located in the Andalusian region, Marbella is a magnificent city on the Costa del Sol, in the south of Spain. The Sierra Blanca mountains are the backdrop to this family-friendly all-inclusive resort, while views from the property overlook the tropical waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

The very first Club Med establishment opened its doors in the Spanish Balearic Islands in 1950. Nearly 70 establishments later, it is with the opening of Club Med Magna Marbella that the brand is back in the country. Magna Marbella is a large modern property built with a dynamic interior-exterior architecture. Throughout, the Arab-Analusian-inspired style and design can be seen woven with the property’s elements of comfort and sensibility.

“Over the past few years, we have worked diligently to expand and adapt our portfolio to appeal to more families and premium travelers in each market,” said Amelie Brouhard VP Marketing Omnichannel North America & USA Sales. “Europe is an important market for us because it is where our brand history is deeply rooted, and we have focused on our growth here with new resort openings and renovations.”

The 35-acre property features an array of colorful gardens and terraces, as well as over 25 activities for guests who want to keep active. Magna Marbella offers five pools, including the lagoon pool, the property’s centerpiece, surrounded by bright red umbrellas and loungers; countless hard and clay tennis courts; a golf course and a mini golf course; archery; and even trapeze and circus lessons.

As for food and drink on-site, there are two restaurants and three bars. Suenos is the main restaurant and offers guests sea views from the terrace and an endless selection of buffet-style dishes. From local cuisine and specialties to international cuisine, there is something for everyone. From burgers and pizzas to poke bowls and grilled meats, customers won’t leave hungry.

Tierra Gourmet Lounge is the second restaurant, which requires reservations for a more upscale dining experience. Paella, tapas, fresh seafood and wine await the guests. Adjacent to the living room is a full bar.

Additionally, Club Med prides itself on incorporating the best of local tradition, culture and food throughout the property, so guests can expect plenty of jamón ibérico, cheeses, fresh seafood, sangria and other Spanish specialties at every event.

Club Med Magna Marbella is recognized as a 4-Trident (4 stars) – the company’s version of a star rating system – and prides itself on offering top-notch family programming and childcare . On the property are four kids’ clubs offering a variety of personalized activities for youngsters from four months to 17 years old. Programming includes creative learning workshops, tennis and golf lessons and more, allowing parents to enjoy the property and relax while the kids are entertained.

In terms of location, this property is ideal for exploring the greater Andalusia region, also known as “The Garden of Europe”. Magna Marbella is a 20-minute walk from the sea and the town centre, which includes a charming old town with historic churches; a central square filled with tapas and cafes; boutiques and quaint alleyways awash with lush bouganvilla.
