Choctaw Nation Announces Name of New Entertainment and Resort Development

(PRESS RELEASE) – Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma has announced that its entertainment and resort development in Hochatown, Oklahoma will be named Choctaw Landing. Choctaw’s new gambling property will be built in southeast Oklahoma near popular vacation destinations Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend State Park. Choctaw Nation will host a premiere for Choctaw Landing on June 14.

“We are excited to begin bringing to life what promises to be an incredible entertainment destination for Oklahomans and our friends and neighbors in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana,” said Janie Dillard. , Executive Director of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. “In addition to gaming, hotel, and entertainment amenities, we plan to provide our guests with the opportunity to learn more about our history, our culture, and what it means to be Choctaw.”

The name Choctaw Landing signifies that guests have arrived at a place where they call home. It will be a special place where visitors can reconnect and recharge for their next adventure. Choctaw Landing will serve as a vantage point to the natural beauty of the surrounding area and a guide to the history of the Choctaw people.

Hochatown is the site of a historic Choctaw village and many Choctaw still live in the area, making it the perfect location for Choctaw Landing. The design of the business and resort will reflect the culture of the tribe and the property will include historical information about the tribe and showcase Choctaw art created by tribal members.

The four-story, 200,000-square-foot Choctaw Landing will cost $165 million to build and will feature 100 hotel rooms, 600 slot machines, eight table games, multiple restaurants and bars, a swimming pool, an outdoor venue with an amphitheater , a beer garden and a family play area.

In addition to the new complex, a 12,000 square foot retail will adjoin Choctaw Landing offering a convenience store/market, three restaurants and a gas station with 24 pumps.

Construction of the mixed-use property will create over 2,000 new jobs and the project will have an economic impact of over $211 million. The Choctaw Nation is also working with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to prepare for increased traffic in the area.

Building on a history of successful collaboration, Manhattan Construction Company and JCJ Architecture are the primary partners in this project. Manhattan Construction Company and JCJ Architecture have worked with Choctaw Nation on several other projects, including the Choctaw Cultural Center and the Choctaw Wellness Center. JCJ Architecture recently worked on the expansion of the Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant and ongoing improvements to the property.

Choctaw Landing will open in late 2023.
